How long does a wrapped car last?
Most car wraps last approximately five to seven years. After five to seven years most vinyl wraps will begin to crack, fade, and peel off the vehicle.
Can you wash a wrapped car?
You can bring your wrapped vehicle to an automated brushless car wash, though hand washing is safer and more thorough. Brush car washes may be too rough on the film, degrading it and causing peeling and lifted edges. If a car wash uses water spray and no brushes, it should be safe for most wraps.
Does a car wrap damage paint?
If a car has high quality or factory paint job, car wrapping can only do two things for it: cover it and protect it. There’s no need to fear to damage the paint. In fact, the vinyl will act as a barrier between the paint and weather exposure, rocks and other debris, and the normal wear of time.
What is the Vehicle Preparation Process Like?
Every vehicle we wrap is undergoes a three-step preparation process that ensures the wrap will stay in place and look amazing for years. We start by washing the vehicle with a strong pH-balanced automotive-grade detergent to remove dirt and debris from the paint finish. Once the vehicle is clean and dry, we wipe it down with a degreaser to ensure that any oils or waxes that could affect the adhesion of the vinyl are removed. Finally, just before we install the wrap, we prepare each panel with an alcohol wipe to remove dust and fingerprints for a perfectly smooth finish.
